It had been only a couple months since the final season of Game of Thrones had finally finished... but instead of the amazing climactic ending many had been expecting, the season was easily the series worst as it only having 6 episodes instead of the usual 10, with the writers saying that this would be made up for with each episode being more or less an hour and half when the news had been announced the year before. However, many agreed that the pacing and quality of writing had declined as quickly as Bran had fallen out of the tower, with many characters seeming to be exaggerated versions of themselves like Tyrion and Cersei, and some having next to no personality or character like Varys, who was usually scheming was instead reduced to being dumb enough to get caught sending messages out about Jon Snow's heritage... and speaking of Jon Snow, he was likely one of characters who had been impacted the most from the poor writing, with lines like "You are my Queen" or
